Its the end of the school year and classes will be over soon so no more seeing her friend slash crush Evan.
She goes with Melanie and Evan to a party and flips out. She gets branded to no fun girl once again.
She gets peeved at Mel for trying to drive her home drunk. Melanie huffs off back to the party.
Syd gets a ride the rest of the way with a more sober Evan. She has Robert with her, she met him at the party, he's sweet but bats for the other team, she wants to introduce him to her bestie Lukas. But not that night.
She escorts Robert home then goes to bed.
Finals are hectic and she studies like crazy with Lukas and one night Evan joins them. Lukas leaves knowing how Syd feels about Evan, giving them time for whatever.
He walks her back to her dorm and kisses her after explaining him and Mel are having issues.
They both agree that it should have never happened. Mel and Evan are celebrating their anniversary on Tuesday.
Things get crazy busy with finals the next thee days.
Mel is avoiding both Evan and Sydney and they are thinking maybe she saw the kiss. She was drunk that night and didn't have much to say when she came home.
Finals leaves no time to worry about it too much. The last time Syd saw her was the day after the party Syd went to and freaked at and hasn't talked to her since.
She sees that she's there asleep and doesn't bother her.
Evan finally comes to Sydney on his and Melanie's anniversary and they go to check if she's in the dorm room.
What they do find is a three day dead Melanie. She died of alcohol poisoning. Sydney is devastated and Evan is too, her and Lukas attend the funeral and have an awkward moment with Mel's sister. Summer comes and Evan goes grieving to New York, his dad has a job for him there. He'll be gone for a month.
Syd gets a job slinging pizza and a week earlier gets surprised with a customer, it was Evan. He has a house with butt head Todd. Sydney and Evan start spending time together as friends and hanging out... A lot.
Lukas is worried about it. Him and Syd go out and run into Robert and her match making job is done!
She and Evan are on a hike and she decided to tell him how she feels.
She nearly dies and they confess what they've been scared to say out loud. They are in love.
They go back to Syd's place Lukas is not there and they spend all night um, passionately intertwined.
It gets quite steamy until Lukas walks in on what was breakfast, but turned into nakedness and yeah.
It wasn't exactly how she wanted to tell him but it was done.
So everybody is coupled up and happy they had a fun love filled summer and school was on the horizon.
Syd and Evan's time together turns to less and less. On Sydney's twenty first bday she runs into Mel's little sister Michelle. She looks just like Melanie.
Evan starts acting shady and Syd is jealous. She confronts him and he swears to cut Michelle loose. He was just trying to be a friend and he truly loves Sydney.
So Lukas and Robert declare their love and Evan and Syd are good. Michelle snaps clearly infatuated with Evan and gets wasted with a bottle of Patron. Evan goes to tell her to cool it in person and Syd follows thinking he's up to no good. It turns out he went there to make it clear that he loves Sydney.
Michelle says she got wasted with Mel's old sorority sisters and they told her Evan encouraged Melanie to get wasted. He says no and that's it. Syd doesn't know what to think and storms out with Evan close behind. He tries to fix it and they end up getting frisky in the back seat when the car starts up and it's drunk psycho Michelle.
She tries to kill all three of them and they end up taking control back of the car.
Syd drives and Evan is in the backseat with a bloody Michelle. They are taking her to urgent care but Syd's not watching the road and they hit another car. Sydney doesn't know if Evan is dead or alive, but she recognizes the guy falling out of the other car and it's her best friend Lukas. She blacks out, wakes in the hospital and Evan comes in banged up but okay. He says Michelle's okay and Lukas has a concussion.
I'm thinking crazy Michelle should be going to jail for the whole situation.
So Evan reluctantly tells her that Robert, Lukas boyfriend didn't make it. He died, she didn't even realize he was in the car with Lukas.
She is ripped apart and then Evan tells her the cops are on the way to question her and she asks for the truth about Melanie.
He says yes he did encourage her and she sent him away just to stop him at the door.
It kind of ends weird. Evan says that it will all be okay that they will make it together.
"Will we Evan? Will we?"
Okay I hope there's a book two to the story cause I need answers!
Does Lukas forgive her? Does he hate her? Does Michelle suffer any consequences of her psycho snap? Do Syd and Evan stay together? Does Sydney go on trial for killing Robert? These are things I NEED to know B.D. Rowe!!!

I would have given it five stars because I really couldn't put it down but it was so here and there!
If there is another story about Sydney Baker and Evan Taylor I am definitely going to read it! I kinda need to know what happens with Lukas and with Michelle too!!!!
