It's almost that time! My Beta Reader copy is just about finished!
I am so very excited about this next step towards finishing True Fate book 1!
Writing the book was a great experience and editing it has been painful, but deciding when the beta copy is ready has been agonizing! Knowing that other eyes will read my imperfect product is a scary thing. I am re-reading it myself and editing as I go. As a tattoo artist I thought I had learned to walk away and leave a project before overdoing it but I really want this book to be great for my readers.
I already have my real cover and I am dying to show it off but that's a no go! Who wants to take all the fun out of my cover reveal?
I am ironing out a few things and trying to figure out how to make the versions I will need for my beta readers but after that I am going to be sending it out. Just the prospect is a nail biter.
I am already writing book 2 True Chaos and it's coming along nicely although I wonder what type of word count I should be putting out per day.
If you are interested in becoming a beta reader for my True Fate series fill out the form HERE. I would like experienced readers in the YA Paranormal Fantasy genre. I am open to general YA beta readers as well.
**This is not to be confused with a read to review or an ARC although all approved beta readers will receive a finished copy of the book once it is available.
**Note: This does not guarantee you a spot as a beta reader.
Now on to the teaser!
"We can't just tell them everything.” Avery said
sounding a little worried. "I for one am not getting into trouble over
this!” she added the frustration apparent. Eric rubbed her shoulder. "Look,
we all have something to lose but I think people's lives are more important
than that.” Eric said slowly. Nia was glad someone was on her side.
"I think she can handle it and Adam is like a
brother to Nia.” Aaron added. "I'm going to go get them.” Nia said moving
towards the door. Darragh quickly moved to block her way. "I don't think
we're ready for them just yet. They can know that there's danger and they can
know that we're your here to protect you, but that is all.” Darragh said rather
demanding. Nia took a step into him narrowing her eyes as she looked up to meet
his glare. Aaron grabbed her arm trying to pull her away. "They are my
friends and I will tell them what I want to and no one can stop me. Get
it.", she said as she shrugged Aaron's hand off of her. Eric moved closer,
he knew she was about to blow and he knew Darragh had little tolerance for such
things.
"I'm tired of this crap! Tired of not knowing and
definitely of no one telling me anything! I am so ready to see Aunt Amarie and
get this, this, whatever the hell it is over with! Forget the stupid scenic
route! Forget the week we were going to take too! I want answers now! And as
far as my friends go consider them in the loop!” Nia screamed like a pissed off
child. She knew she sounded like she was throwing a fit but she didn't really
care. "I keep hearing how this is going to change everything. Really!!
Cause the last time I looked my life has already irreparably changed! I'm
hardly speaking to my dad. I can't sleep right, my best friends are in harm’s
way for god's sake! I am being hunted by who knows who and I'm sharing a room
with a man I barely know because of some cosmic freaking promise! EVERYTHING in
my life has changed and I don't even know the reason why!” she continued with
tears brimming now, "Nia, please calm down.” Eric pleaded being careful
not to touch her as her eyes flashed a fiery gaze his direction.

"I am currently writing book 2 in my True Fate Series, my first YA Paranormal Fiction Series! I hope to publish by the end of the year or the beginning of next year. Luckily I have my best friend who is also my supportive husband to cheer me on. I'm definitely looking forward to the painful journey of becoming a self-published author!”
Shayna is a happily married mom of three teenagers and a native Texan. She is a highly addicted reader and an avid reviewer with a love for generating buzz for other authors.
“Life is chaos and reading is my relaxation. Writing comes second only to my family and my music. I love playing the bass and singing backup vocals for my husband! A tattoo artist turned author, following my dream and loving it!"
