He leans down, lips parted, and then our lips connect... We didn’t know that this one kiss has FOREVER changed the Land of the Fae.
According to the Prophecy proclaimed many years ago, Princess Calista of the Summer Court is destined to change the Land of the Fae from the evil determined to destroy it. Her powers are phenomenal, and she secretly trains for battle with her handsome warrior friend, Merrick, who unbeknownst to her protects her heart as well, in hopes of keeping it for himself. At least, until the seductive Prince Ryder attends the Guardian Ceremony and instantly sends a fire burning through her veins and a connection so deep they both discover a love above anything imaginable.
No one knows how Calista is destined to change the kingdoms, but there is one that does. He not only craves Calista’s power, but her body as well, and his goal is to steal her power, make her his Dark Queen, and take over the Land of the Fae.
Will the evil succeed in claiming Calista’s soul? Or will the two men that fight for her heart save her from despair, and help her fulfill her destiny to become what she was meant to be.

Calista is the Princess of the Summer Court and it is the night she is to take a Guardian. The ceremony is awesome, basically a bunch of guys beat the hello kitty out of each other and the last man standing wins. (Woo! Queue the testosterone. LOL!)
Merrick is her best friend and he has secretly been training Cali to fight and defend herself and they are both happy that he edges out the competition swiftly to be guardian. Only thing is now they will be together forever but he wants it to be in a way she isn't feeling. Everyone in the beginning seems to know it but her.
That night after they are bonded and celebrate Merrick let's her in on his feelings and she shoots him down. He is hurt but ever loyal and willing to give her time to possibly acclimate to the idea but he knows it may be futile. The reason he knows is tall dark and handsome and comes in the form of the Winter court's seductive Prince Ryder. *swoon* (Team Ryder! Heehee!) When he and Cali meet it's evident that something is strange in their connection.
Overwhelmed by the immediate connection they both feel they plan a rendezvous. They discuss the vision they shared when their hands met and they shared more too. *clears throat* Well not that but they quickly determined the feelings were mutual. And he ends up shirtless *fans self* by Cali's swift moves but that's when they notice the changes. (Which I think was a brilliant touch the hot and cold touch then warm mutual temp. Nice.)
Meanwhile Cali has been watched by an evil man, Alasdair, who wants her to himself and he has possessed spies in the courts keeping an eye on things. And not just that he sent them to carry out his plan. (Not good.)
The next morning Cali is training with Merrick and Ryder shows up unable to keep himself from the jealousy that's rising when Merrick takes her to the mat. He strides up and a battle ensues between the guys after they take off their shirts of course, *feeling faint* And may I add the description given of these to give an amazing visual to go along with this read. She ends up having to subdue them with her elemental talents to keep them from further damaging each other.
Merrick is he guardian and Ryder is her forever and they are going to have to get along or agree to disagree or something, (I mean hello, fate of the Fae realm over here! *Waving and screaming*)
Merrick had shocked me with his hot headed ultimatum, my jaw literally dropped, just didn't see it coming.
Once the guys are free they find chaos and that there are dead Fae, so sad. They go searching for Warren a guy who came with them who had been acting shady and a guy from the Winter Court, Avery, too. Cali is nowhere to be found but we already know she has been taken per Alasdair's orders.
Cali get's dumped on a bed and finally removes her blindfold to an opulent surrounding. She must survive her captor and the guys must band together to get their girl back safely.
I am so not spoiling this for you! Oh no! You have to go buy it and I PROMISE you won't regret it!
It's a really good read, truly and I was happy I had book 2 ready to go!
Definitely a fan of the series!
I am an avid reader that loves my collection of books. Writing has always been a passion of mine and now I am glad that I get to share my passion with the world. I live in North Carolina and I absolutely love being a southern girl. I spent several years in college starting out with a major in Psychology and then switching to dental. I worked in the dental field for eight years and then decided to stay home with my two beautiful girls. I spent the beginning of my reading years reading suspense thrillers, but now I can't get away from the paranormal/fantasy books. I knew ever since then that if I wrote anything it would be in a paranormal aspect. Now that I have started on my passion and began writing, you will not see me go anywhere without a notebook and pen.

Happy Reading!
