Title: Copper Ravens (Copper Legacy #2)
Author: Jennifer Allis Provost
Publish Date: June 17, 2014
Publisher: Spencer Hill Press

Sara should be happy.

She has what every girl wants: a man who loves her, a beautiful home, and wealth beyond imagining. She rescued her brother from the Peacekeepers, destroyed the Iron Queen, and doesn’t have to go to her boring job any more.

And yet… Sara still doesn’t know if her father is alive or dead. Her mother hides in the garden, brooding about her missing husband. Her sister, the Inheritor of Metal, is scared of her own shadow, and her brother spends his days fighting and gambling. To add to Sara’s misery, the new queen (gold, of course) is more than a bit crazy, she misses her life in the Mundane world, and, worst of all, Micah wants to have children. A lot of them.

As Sara wavers between happiness and homesickness, a conspiracy emerges against the Raven clan, implicating them in a plot to dethrone the Gold Queen. How can Sara prove her family’s innocence, and become the consort Micah needs her to be, without losing herself in the process?

Book 2

Copper Ravens is a great continuation of Copper Girl. I'm glad that more time had passed since we last left Sara. Sara BTW is a great MC and I love so much about her! I like this series and will read each and every book in the series!!

I was not too happy with the whole Micah's consort thing but it is what it is and he is a you know what! (And if you don't know then read the book!)
This is a good read with a unique plot and I really like the writing style too. I could definitely picture everything as if I were watching a movie.

I really liked that I could get lost in the story, like people are talking and I can't hear them, lost. Micah definitely grew on me though the whole "my Sara" was a bit over played. But it was easily overlooked for me. I thought the story skipped around a bit and it had loads of explanation and revelation.

My favorite character besides Sara has got to be Max. He is smart but stubborn and swoony in his own right I think. I like his raising hell plan, that was epic lol! I am not convinced that we have seen the last of Sara's ex friend either and keep getting the feeling that there is more to her and Max than meets the eye...

Craziness is a great way to describe the happenings of this book. Kind of scattered but I love the side of Maeve we get to see! Go mom! *high five*

I'm not a spoiler sharing girl so you just have to read it for yourself but it has mystery, twists one hell of a cliffhanger! Definitely seeing this series through to the very end!! Here is a thought that is only a mild spoiler or maybe a rant... hmmm? CLICK HERE and click "show spoiler".

I love, love the characters and the plot too! The twists were fabulous and the descriptive scenery was amazing! The end... oh the end!!! Eeep! You gotta read this series! Definitely an Upper YA read!

Sara had always been careful.
She never spoke of magic, never associated with those suspected of handling magic, never thought of magic, and never, ever, let anyone see her mark. After all, the last thing she wanted was to end up missing, like her father and brother.
Then, a silver elf pushed his way into Sara's dream, and her life became anything but ordinary.

Okay. Let me start by saying this is a great story. We have a really good MC here and the cast isn't too shabby either. But I have issues...

Our MC, Sara is a hard working, fly below the radar, get sloshed with your BFF kind of girl. She has her secrets, but who doesn't. She lives in a world, post magic. Magic was an integrated part of society before mundanes freaked and a war broke out. Now the world was controlled, no magic, it's now illegal.

Big brother reigns supreme and everyone who was deemed a non-threat is outfitted with a tracker and drones keep ever watchful eyes on the public. The history is written fantastically. I felt completely up to date with the society in this book.

Then enter dream boy... Micah shows up rather suddenly and unexpectedly in the parking lot to basically feel up the MC. Here's where I got disturbed. I mean what woman is gonna be cool with random dude feeling her up unless she is super slutty? Don't get me wrong, the author does well to explain the attraction and the unexplainable drawing to one another. And granted Sara did think she was dreaming at the time... But the "tokens" he was taking from her were just... no.

Anyways, there is good progression and as long as you just accept that Micah and Sara are meant to be it doesn't matter. The plot is ever thickening and twisting along the way which I love.

The characters are developed fairly well and I feel like it was a pretty big story to tackle in one book. I love the Otherworldly part of this and love the Otherworldly characters. I like that there are Queen's mortals and various fae type creatures. I always love a good fantasy world in my read!

I really did love this book and I seriously can't wait to read Copper Ravens! Super glad I had it to read already!

I also liked the unpredictable nature of the story and the mystery of things. There will be some explaining needed in the next book from some of the characters but it was really a great ending with enough to keep you hanging around for the next installment.

I recommend it as an Upper YA Fantasy read!
