In this
electrifying novel from New Adult sensation Cassie Mae, two close
friends surprise themselves by shifting from platonic love to sexual
attraction.
Eric Matua has one friend—his best friend and childhood sweetheart, who needs a place to stay for the summer. Mia Johnson has thousands of friends—who live in her computer. Along with her email chats and Facebook notifications, Mia also devours romance novels, spending countless hours with fictional characters, dreaming of her own Romeo to sweep her off her feet. When she starts receiving supersweet messages from a stranger who thinks she’s someone else, Mia begins to believe that real love is possible outside her virtual world.
When the two friends become roommates, Mia finds herself falling harder than she ever thought she could. But Eric keeps his desires locked away, unsure of himself and his ability to give his best friend what she deserves in a boyfriend. As her advances are continually spurned, Mia splits her time between Eric and her computer. But she soon realizes she’s about to lose the only real thing she’s ever had.

Emilia is one of the most relatable characters
like, EVER.
MC of the year, yes, well for me anyway. She is smart and in
love with her best friend who she hasn't seen for awhile. Eric is
gorgeous but in his eyes he hasn't always been. Eric used to be
overweight but Emmy had liked him even then. She just never had the guts
to tell him that. The opportunity these two friends have is beautiful
and scary and breathtaking.
This book was just... amazing. It dealt with
so much stuff that I could completely relate to. I find myself
enveloped in the internet alot and have to remind myself to give time to
the people and relationships around me. Though not as severe as Em's
situation but still it resonates.
The author tackles rough subject
matter in this read too dealing with anxiety and not just regular
anxieties but all out panic attacks with full on blackouts. I have
experienced and seen what that's like and she did a great job of
tackling it. It really added alot to the read made it deeper and more
complex than your average NA read.
I was so happy that Eric and Em
decided to give it a shot that I cheered LOL and the issues he was
dealing with were just wow. I felt horrible for him and hoped my sons
never get stuck with a girl like her for a girlfriend she was terrible
and so verbally abusive it was just sickening. I wanted to do what Em
said when she finally heard about Ali's vicious taunts to Eric. Find her
and kick her ass! (Just saying) The whole Samoan thing was hot too.
I
absolutely adored the dynamic between Eric and Em and I do believe Eric
Matua is a very swoon worthy guy! Yeah, definitely! I'm #TeamEric all
the way! Yup!
This is an epic love story that will stand the test of
time and I would be completely ecstatic if we get more of Em and Eric's
story! I'm just saying...
I recommend this book to anyone who reads,
yeah it's just that good!
