REVIEW - #RPRC2014 - Reborn by Jessica Miller

Ella finally knows what she is, but now she’s not so sure she knows who she is.

With Jack still on the loose her parents have her confined to the house leaving Ella to feel like she’s stuck in a prison. Coping with the loss of her best friend and the love of her life, Ella feels trapped in an endless cycle of torment. She feels she’s doomed to lose everyone she loves. In attempt to keep her safe and help her understand her new life her parents decide that what’s best for her is to go back to school, but not just any school.

Ella’s not alone though. The school is filled with students who are just like her, including her brother Dean. Her mission is to keep herself blended in the background and out of trouble, but unfortunately Ella isn’t that lucky. With the roommate from hell, her brother constantly breathing down her neck, and being pinned right away as the outcast, Ella wants nothing more than to just crawl under a rock for the rest of her life. Even the school’s sweetheart has it in for her.

Can she overcome her fear of the unknown? Will she ever learn to accept who she is? The most important thing Ella is concerned about is just surviving the semester at Hamilton Hill.

First off let me say that I was so distraught after book 1 that I truly considered not reading Reborn. I wasn't sure if I could handle anymore .
And once again placing all grammatical errors aside I read it and I'm glad that I gave it a chance. Jessica Miller does have something special in The Wanderers Series.

We find Ella dealing with the traumatic events of book 1 in her own way. And may I add that I will forever be Team Tristan...

We join the McAllisters for the holidays as they all try and ease Ella out if her misery.

I love this family. They are right up there with The Cullen's from Twilight, the Townsend's from My Blood Approves and the Hayward's of The Eden Trilogy for me.

The entire dynamic with the family and the twists and bombshells with Danni & Hadley! OMG!

(BTW Xander is one of my fave characters)

I was worried then quickly relieved when I was reading about Ella's pain management method. She is beginning school in January so she can learn more about who she is and her heritage.

At school more of her unique array of abilities begin to surface Ella makes friends and enemies.
She's pleasantly surprised when a familiar face ends up being at her new school along with Dean and Gabe. She's joined eventually by another friend who she shares a special bond with.

I was worried for her through so much of this book. First with the whole Aidan thing and the Mackenzie issues and always the Jack issue. I was terrified mostly for her friends and loved one because I don't think I can lose any of them!

I like the circle of friends and the enemies are great characters too. Jack is a good villain.
Oh yeah and I love the way Billy blazes into the school. LOL That was great!

After a visit from her parents plan payback is underway and I was nail biting seriously.
I like that there's werewolves and witches mixed in with the vampires.

All in all it really did turn out a good read full of twists and turns and action. Throw in the mind blowing revelations and the cliffhanger and I'm hooked!

I cannot wait to see what book 3 has in store!

I live in a fantasy world and have an over active imagination. But the best part about that is I never stop creating new characters and new stories to share. I love writing and expressing myself in a way that everyone else can enjoy as well. I work in the salon most days, but when I'm not doing hair, I'm writing or reading.
