Review - #RPRC2014 - Salt by Danielle Ellison

Penelope is a witch, part of a secret society protecting humans from demon attacks. But when she was a child, a demon killed her parents—and stole her magic. Since then, she’s been pretending to be something she’s not, using her sister’s magic to hide her own loss, to prevent being sent away.

When she’s finally given the chance to join the elite demon-hunting force, Penelope thinks that will finally change. With her sister’s help, she can squeeze through the tests and get access to the information she needs to find "her" demon. To take back what was stolen.

Then she meets Carter. He’s cute, smart, and she can borrow his magic, too. He knows her secret—but he also has one of his own.

Suddenly, Penelope’s impossible quest becomes far more complicated. Because Carter’s not telling her everything, and it’s starting to seem like the demons have their own agenda…and they’re far too interested in her.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review from Entangled Teen

Salt is an action packed , mind blowing, swoon worthy YA read that will leave you wanting more.  And I truly mean that!

In its genre it is most definitely a top contender for best read for YA in a while. I was super ecstatic about this read when I got it from Entangled Teen and I was really glad it did not disappoint.

The plot is unique and I love the way it intertwines the intensity of the Enforcer testing with the mystery surrounding Penelope Grey.
Throw in a hot green eyed stranger who has twists of his own and it makes it even better! Balance that with a great cast of characters that you will fall in love with and the unlikely allies and bam!

You get an intriguingly captivating YA Paranormal Fantasy read that doesn't disappoint or slow down.

Plot, storyline, characters plot twists it is all good!

I have no doubt that Danielle Ellison has something amazing in this series.

I cannot wait to revisit Penelope and Carter on the next leg of their road of discovery and adventure! I have to know what comes next for these two. I am looking forward to book 2 eagerly!

A great read that I recommend highly! YA Paranormal Fantasy at it's very best.

Danielle Ellison is from a small town in West Virginia. She spent her childhood pretending to fly, talking to imaginary friends, and telling stories. She hasn’t changed much since then. You can still find her pretending to work, talking to imaginary characters, and writing stories.

When she’s not writing, Danielle is probably drinking coffee, fighting her nomadic urges, watching too much TV, or dreaming of the day when she can be British. She is the author of five upcoming novels and you can find her on twitter @DanielleEWrites
