BLOG TOUR - Til Death by Kate Evangelista

Title: TIL DEATH

Author: Kate Evangelista

Publisher: Entangled Teen

Pub. Date: March 4, 2014

Pages: 304

Sixteen-year old Selena Fallon is a dreamer. Not a day-dreamer, but an I-see-the-future kind of dreamer. Normally this is not a problem as she has gotten pretty good at keeping her weird card hidden from everyone in her small town. Except from her best friend Kyle and her grandparents, of course. But when Selena dreams of her own rather bloody death, things get a little too freaky even for her.

Enter Dillan Sloan. Selena has seen the new guy in a different dream, and he is even more droolworthy in person. Beyond the piercing blue eyes and tousled dark hair, there is something else that draws her to him. Something…electric. Unfortunately, Dillan makes it more than clear that he does not feel the same. They just met, so why would he act like he hates her?

When Dillan and Selena are forced together one weekend to work on a school project, Selena prepares to be ignored as usual. But when she stumbles across a few undead in the backyard, Dillan comes to her rescue and reveals a whole lot more. Not only is he part of a society that hunts otherworldly creatures…she is too. And she is being targeted by a force bigger and darker than anything she ever imagined. Despite her death dream, Selena is not going to give up easy, especially when she discovers that Dillan might not actually hate her after all.

Oh, yes Kate has indeed done it again!

I was not in the least bit put out by the alternating POVs at all! I enjoyed every second. Fantasy and Paranormal are my first loves and this book didn't fall short for me! I am so recommending it too.

Selena is my kind of cranky and the dynamic between her and her friends was great. She was a strong willed little firecracker and I dig that. Dillan was a cranky bugger himself but for good reason I suppose. I loved how they just couldn't stand each other but where undoubtedly drawn together. The plot was good and I was interested quite solidly through the entire read.

I was definitely looked at like I was crazy while I laughed at the banter between the two MCs. I liked the plot alot. I love the whole precognitive dreams element to the story and I was intrigued by Dillan's world even before I found out what it truly was. I even liked his crazy Uncle Rainer and the small town vibe of the setting. I was all team Dillan and seriously shocked by alot of the twists and turns the story took. Anyways! A great cast of characters! Kyle and Penny were some of my faves!

I really liked the book store and I always enjoy the descriptive worlds created by Kate Evangelista. This book played out in my mind like a good movie and infiltrated my dreams as well! The mystery surrounding the disappearances really had me going and my mind spinning theories. I love a book that makes me wonder.
Between dreams and disturbing revelations Selena and Dillan find they need each other more than they could have imagined. This book had emotion as well that you could feel at least I did. I enjoyed it start to finish along with every second in between and I CANNOT WAIT for BOOK 2!!! I need it like now but I guess I will have to wait! LOL!

Definitely buying this one for my teens!

I have no intentions of spoiling this book but I will say that if you give this book a chance you will not regret it one bit! Kate Evangelista is always good for laughs mixed with nail biting need to know moments no matter what genre she is writing and I commend her for it. Great book, good read, five stars!

When Kate Evangelista was told she had a knack for writing stories, she did the next best thing: entered medical school. After realizing she wasn't going to be the next Doogie Howser, M.D., Kate wandered into the Literature department of her university and never looked back. Today, she is in possession of a piece of paper that says to the world she owns a Literature degree. To make matters worse, she took Master's courses in creative writing. In the end, she realized to be a writer, none of what she had mattered. What really mattered? Writing. Plain and simple, honest to God, sitting in front of her computer, writing. Today she lives in the Philippines and writes full time.
