Death Lies Between Us

Saving the life of someone you love should not be the worst thing you have ever done, unless you are an Angel of Death.
Disgruntled with his position in the afterlife and conflicted by his feelings toward his new client, Nathaniel Evans forgoes the rules and saves nineteen year old Juliana Crowson from being hopelessly stuck in Forge Creek.
This alters Juliana's destiny and she finds herself in a series of near death accidents. In the mountains of Colorado, Nathaniel comforts Juliana as she struggles to understand her paranormal abilities while coping with her brother's drug addiction.
When an ill-tempered Native American Shaman teaches her the difference between ghosts and place memories, she decides she wants nothing to do with the supernatural world.
Too bad she doesn't know that Nathaniel is part of it. Will fate bring these two together, or has Nathaniel made the biggest mistake of his afterlife

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. ;)

Nathaniel where do I begin to describe him?? Sweet Death.... He is a guide of sorts ushering his charge to the other side. He has a real love hate relationship with his "job".
He has a new "charge" and Juliana is just different in so many ways from the usual people he helps crossover.
Juliana's brother Jared has a band called Mostly Mayhem and wants to make the big time. Jules (Juliana) is certain he can do it.

Jules' time will be up in the near future or Nathan (Nathaniel) wouldn't be there. He knows she is due to crossover sometime soon but doesn't know how or exactly when. What Nathan wasn't ready for was the feelings stirring inside since he looked into Jules' eyes.
He finds it literally impossible to keep himself from interfering with fate each time. But when you interfere in destiny there are consequences. Not just for death hot on Jules' heels but also for Nathan.
A trip with the band to the local legendary haunted castle has Jules tapping into abilities she's been ignoring and getting into more trouble. This damsel in distress has a personal savior.
Will she outrun fate and death or will Nathan do his job and usher her soul to the other side......

The page turning never stopped and my sleepiness and life got in the way of my reading! LOL!
I am definitely recommending this book.
It is a really great read!
Bravo Ms. Kessler!!
