New To Me Authors of 2013
1. Shelly Crane - I read Wide Awake this year and I was floored! I will read anything she has out! I currently have her books Significance and I have Wide Spaces and I am dying to fit them in my schedule but they will be in my January reading block!
2. Cassandra Clare - I read The Mortal Instruments series in January and read it obsessively too. I HAD to have the next book every time! I have the first book in The Infernal Devices Series I just haven't had time to finish it! I am waiting on City of Heavenly Fire now!
3. Becca Fitzpatrick - Hush Hush Saga #1. I was taken in by this book and it moved me. Not much truly moves me but Nora and Patch did.
4. Lauren Oliver - Delirium is my second favorite Dystopian read of all times. The first being Divergent then Outside. Under The Never Sky Follows close behind.
5. Stacey Marie Brown - Oh Lord, Stacey, Stacey, Stacey! Eli Dragen in The Darkness Series, man oh man! Need I say more? Oh and Ember is cool too I suppose...
6. Michele G. Miller - When I first got to Goodreads Michele was a MOD and always around then she disappeared a little bit at a time then bam! Michele retires her MOD status and has written books! What? I was so excited and while I have not had a chance to read her other series I did read Last Call and I fell in love. I fell in love with the story, the characters and with the writing of Michele G. Miller.
7. Shalini Boland - I read the entire Outside Series and am going to read her Marchwood Vampires Series as well in 2014. Love, love her!
8. Emily Godwin - Reading Mutilate My Heart didn't just get me into a new to me author but a newish genre or subgenre as well. I loved every word of that book!
9. Stacey Wallace Benefiel - I'm a huge Zellie Wells fan. I love these books so much I recommend them all the time! Big fan of hers!
10. Skye Callahan - I loved Fractured Legacy and I cannot wait for more!
If any of these writers put out a book I want to read it! I find so many new authors every year and I absolutely love it. There are so many more I could mention but these are the Top Ten!
